Underfloor heating in Valjevo
Underfloor heating warms a room from below, evenly and without draughts, so the warmth feels pleasant even at a lower water temperature than radiators need. AQUATIM installs water underfloor heating in new builds and renovations, with loops carefully calculated for each room.
It all starts with good insulation. On the prepared base we lay insulation boards with a film layer, then run PEX pipe in loops over them, fixed with clips or in carrier rails. The spacing between pipes isn't uniform - along external walls and in the bathroom the loops are denser, so the heat stays even where losses are greatest.
All the loops meet at a manifold, which lets each room be controlled separately and the flow balanced. Before the screed is poured, we put the system under pressure and keep it there during the pour - if a pipe were damaged, we'd see it immediately, not once the floor is finished.
Underfloor heating pairs perfectly with condensing boilers and heat pumps because they run at a low water temperature. It can also be combined with radiators in the same building - for example underfloor downstairs, radiators in the attic - via a manifold with a mixing valve.

From practice
From practice: in a new build in Ub we installed underfloor heating across the whole ground floor with separate loops for the living room, kitchen and bathroom, connected to a heat pump - with not a single wall radiator.
How we work
Step 1
Insulating the base
We lay insulation boards and edge strip so the heat goes upward, not into the foundation.
Step 2
Laying the loops
We run PEX pipe in loops, spaced more tightly where heat loss is greater.
Step 3
Manifold & test
We connect the loops to the manifold and keep the system pressurized during the screed pour.
Step 4
Commissioning
We balance the flow per room and warm the floor gradually, following the screed's heat-up curve.
Frequently asked questions
Can underfloor heating go in a flat, not only a house?
It can, but floor height matters because the system raises the level by a few centimetres. In flat renovations we use lower-profile systems where height is limited and coordinate everything with the final floor covering.
How quickly does underfloor heating warm up?
More slowly than radiators because it heats the mass of the floor, but it also holds the warmth longer. It works best kept at a steady temperature rather than switched on and off constantly.
